Things are really moving quickly now: bags are (sort of) packed, paperwork (hopefully) complete, currency obtained and tomorrow we wander down the highway to Brisbane Airport where Etihad will take us on the first leg of our journey. As always emotions of uncertainty and excitement bubble away.
This trip is a bit shorter than the last two, but promises to be beguiling. The first - and greater part - will be a cruise of the eastern Mediterranean, followed by a few days in Paris. The latter is to see a few things we missed the first time around, and - most importantly - to celebrate Deb's birthday.
You should be able to see the plan here.
Like previous trips, blog updates will be dependent on internet availability and our state of sobriety. To the right as you look at this page is an e-mail subscription link - the machine will send you a message when we make new posts.
For those that come late to the story (sorry, lame Phantom reference), this blog is a something of a travel diary - both a record for Deb and I and a means of staying in touch with friends. From time to time we may also throw the odd message and photo on Facebook. Be warned: these posts may contain some NSFW content and invariably poor attempts at humour.
Anyway...one more sleep and the curtain comes up!
Hey! Hold on! Pant! Pant! Don't leave without me!!
